Room and Boards are an unlicensed/unregulated housing for completely independent individuals. Each resident must be capable of administering all medications, care needs, need no transfer assistance and have no cognitive impairment. In the event that any of these care needs are required or in the resident’s best interest, an Assisted Living community would be necessary. Room and Boards generally provides all 3 meals, light housekeeping, laundry and boarding for a lower all-inclusive cost.
